Color doppler ultrasonography of soft-tissue masses

Purpose: To evaluate the capability of color Doppler ultrasonography to differentiate between benign and malignant soft-tissue tumors. Material and Methods: We reviewed the ultrasonographic (US) and color Doppler (CD) findings in 46 consecutive patients with a palpable periskeletal mass. The presence of 3 or more vascular hila and of tortuous and irregular internal vessels within the lesions was considered an indication of malignancy. The CD diagnosis was compared with that obtained at US alone. Introducción: El sarcoma de estroma endometrial uterino es un tumor muy poco frecuente con una incidencia de 0,4 -3,4 por 100.000 mujeres, comprende menos del 1% de tumores malignos ginecológicos y el 2-5% de tumores malignos uterinos, siendo el tercer sarcoma en frecuencia después del carcinosarcoma y el leiomiosarcoma. Material y métodos: Presentamos cinco casos de sarcoma de estroma endometrial diagnosticados en un periodo de siete años con la evolución clínica de las pacientes. Resultados: Immunohistoquímicamente, estos tumores expresaban vimentina, receptores hormonales, CD10 y p53 (sarcomas de alto grado), siendo los marcadores musculares, la CK, el c-kit y ALK negativos. Thoraxverletzungen treten bei etwa 30% aller traumatisierten Patienten auf, wobei in den meisten Fallen Verkehrsunfalle die Ursache sind. Wir berichten uber den Fall eines Patienten, der nach einem Skiunfall einen traumatischen Vorderwandinfarkt erlitt. Im weiteren Verlauf kam es zu einer ausgedehnten intramyokardialen Einblutung. Differentialdiagnostisch kam zunachst ein linksventrikulares Pseudo- bzw. Pseudopseudoaneurysma in Frage, kernspintomographisch konnte jedoch durch den Nachweis eines schmalen Myokardsaums sowohl ventral als auch dorsal der Raumforderung die Diagnose eines intramyokardialen Hamatoms gestellt werden. Neoplasia sincrónica de endometrio y ovario

Resumen Este es el caso de una paciente con neoplasia sincronica de endometrio y ovario. Se presento a una edad joven (45 anos) y con signos clinicos de hipermenorrea. Posteriormente, mediante pruebas de imagen, hallamos la tumoracion ovarica. Los tipos histologicos fueron endometrioides en ambas localizaciones y, como en la mayoria de este tipo de neoplasias sincronicas, de bajo grado y estadio. Todos estos factores son de buen pronostico. Dentro de las neoplasias sincronicas, esta asociacion de tumores es relativamente frecuente; se caracterizan por tener buen pronostico y ser de bajo grado.
